If I may ask, why did you call it 'Dwaalspoor'? I know what it means, I'm Dutch.
(But somehow, I prefer English...?)

If google translator doesn't betray me, "Dwaalspoor" means "Bad way". I am right? In that case, it may be a "bad" way because it is full of obstacles. Or, at least, it seems to me.

'Dwaalspoor' to me means something else. (Prepare, I'm very bad at explaining things)
It means a 'fake' path that somebody WANTS you to take, so you'll get 'lost'.
So more or less yes, that's true.

Lovely capture, if one has to go for a prime lens, which one would you recommend, for shallow DOF, not too costly though? Thanks!

Thank you!
I noticed that you have a Nikon camera. Well I have a Sony camera so I can't give you any
specific info about Nikon gear. In general you can say that for a shallow dof you need to get
a f/1.4 prime lens. For general use a 50mm will do just fine. The cheapest one costs about $300,-
Just browse the web for up-to-date prices.

Good luck and take care.

Yes I have indeed. It's a great lens.
Sadly I can't use it anymore. I dropped it on the floor and now it's broken :(

And you can recommend it? I considered buying it, too. :aww:
Oh no.. :( I'm so sorry for you.
Can it get fixed?
Reply
:iconoer-wout:
Oer-Wout Featured By Owner Aug 8, 2012
Oh yes, I can recommend it for sure. It has a great sharpness.
Yeah, it happened a while ago. It can't get fixed so I replaced it with the Sigma 70 mm macro. It's cheaper compared to the 105mm.
